Short Film The Butterfly Effect (2012) – When Going For A bottle of Milk Turns into Mayhem
An ordinary looking guy wakes up one morning feeling the worse for wear and realizes he’s run out of milk. As he drags himself out of the house to go and buy some, an extraordinary sequence of events draws him into a journey of mayhem on the streets of San Francisco. The animation is of a very high quality but at times it does feel like it is showing off and I would have liked a bit more humor or action because often it just feels like spectacle and not much else. Of course we have plenty of blockbusters that show us that this works as a business model so it is not a huge deal and I guess at only 2 or 3 minutes it is hard not to like it for what it is.
The Butterfly Effect is an action-packed short animated “tale of mayhem” written and directed by London-based Dan Sumich of Passion Pictures
