Plot:
Two octopuses fight for their lives with a stubborn restaurant cook in a comical escape through the streets of a small Greek village.
So this was an oscar nominee. But it's very unlike other oscar nominated shorts I know about. It is not a serious film. It's just that it is enjoyable. I like it because it's really well made. The stunts were more realistic than full length action films. But the scenes of octopodes jumping from one pool to another, a bit too over the top.

This excellent animated short movie received a nomination for the 2009. Oscars among 13 international awards. It is a 2007 French computer-animated short film that originated as a Graduate Student Project from Gobelins L'Ecole de L'Image. Oktapodi was well received, winning a number of awards, as well as an Academy Award nomination for Best Short Film (Animated) for the 81st Academy Awards. It was also included in the Animation Show of Shows.
