There's something about this film that makes it stand tall among all the other video game fan-made projects out there. For one thing, it's brilliantly edited and scored. Video podcast host and commercial director Dan Trachtenberg released his short film Portal: No Escape in 2011 and thanks to YouTube, we’ve seen quite an influx of good video game short films in recent years. The dedication and effort put in by indie filmmakers have shown us all that a big budget isn’t everything. Dan Trachtenberg is a filmmaker and video podcast host from the Philadelphia suburbs who currently resides in the Los Angeles metro area. He was one of the three hosts of The Totally Rad Show and a former co-host of Geekdrome. Both programs were hosted at Revision3. In addition to working on Internet shows, Trachtenberg is the writer/director of the 2003 short film Kickin?' and the director of various television commercials and public service announcements. Trachtenberg will direct a film for Bad Robot Productions titled "Valencia."
Directed by Dan Trachtenberg.
